Space and time (SxT), the verifiable compute layer for blockchain, announced the release of Proof of SQL, a high-performance zero-knowledge prover for information preparation, already available on GitHub.
Proof of SQL, a cutting-edge ZK verification created by SxT, ensures that SQL database queries are accurately calculated based on unchanged information. This innovation allows engineers to perform calculations on on-chain and off-chain datasets in a trustless manner, demonstrating their tight contracts amid exchanges. This progression is expected to improve the advancement of DeFi conventions with astute data-driven contracts.
Jay White, PhD, co-founder and head of research at SxT, and creator of the Verification of SQL convention, expressed that Space and Time is excited to lead Web3 into a new era of data-driven smart contracts and the next Challenge generation. He mentioned that their team pioneered sub-second ZK proofs, enabling smart contracts and AI operators to query on-chain and off-chain data and receive SQL query results without on-chain trust during a transaction without waiting for verification times of 30 minutes.
Proof of SQL offers essentially more productive engineering for preparing huge volumes of information compared to generalized zkVMs and coprocessors. While generalized zkVMs offer an extensible arrangement for self-asserting computations, their information management is difficult to demonstrate. The proof of SQL can be coordinated with these zkVMs to provide indisputable source information for subjective code execution.
Space and Time welcomes community engagements and collaboration from other ZKP building groups. The prover can be coordinated into any SQL database, whether centralized or decentralized, and now secures a few of notable Web3 applications, financial institutions, and enterprises.
