Revolut’s Cryptocurrency Exchange Now Available for Experienced Traders
Digital bank Revolut’s Revolut X cryptocurrency exchange is now available to professional crypto traders.
London-based Revolut, which has more than 40 million customers worldwide, developed Revolut X to compete with major cryptocurrency exchanges.
Having allowed the buying and selling of cryptocurrencies within its app for several years, Revolut told its customers in February that It was planned to introduce an exchange.
The standalone exchange is designed to incentivize users to trade through it rather than buy and sell with the Revolut app by offering lower fees. Revolut will charge zero fees to the originator of a trade and 0.09% to the taker, according to an emailed announcement Tuesday.
While some banks offer customers cryptocurrency trading in some form or another, Revolut is among the first to create a standalone cryptocurrency exchange for this purpose.
