DeFi TVL hits 94.974 billion with an increase of $11.89 billion
In recent weeks, decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols have seen a notable increase, with total value locked (TVL) increasing by $11.89 billion.
The growth brought TVL to $94.974 billion today, May 18, as reported by defillama.com. However, one DeFi protocol, Perfectswap, did not work as expected. The protocol experienced a complete decline, with a 100% reduction in TVL.
Lido Finance, a DeFi protocol from TVL currently holds approximately $29.21 billion. The DeFi protocol increased by 1.49%. Another protocol is Eigenlayer which today brings in $15.40 billion. Besides the two major DeFi protocols, the rest of the protocol also saw an increase in ms in their TVL. That of MakerDAO increased by 7.95%, that of Justlend by 4.95%, that of Aave by 9.22%.
Other smaller protocols also showed positive records, with Zircuit staking at 74.64%, Etherfi at 28.92%, and Jito at 31.86%. However, this positive balance in TVL is seen as a boost in confidence within the DeFi sector, thus suggesting a market recovery.
