Crypto infrastructure company’s Ramp network secures registration in Ireland

The Irish subsidiary of British crypto infrastructure company Ramp Network has obtained registration of a Virtual Asset Services Provider (VASP) in Ireland, the company announced in a press release on Thursday.
The Ramp Network is a fintech company building payment rails connecting crypto to the global financial system. This registration will allow its users to exchange fiat currencies for over 100 crypto assets.
The company aims to make Ireland its European headquarters and has established a team and operations in Dublin. It intends to be authorized as a Crypto Asset Services Provider (CASP) under the Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) Regulation.
HAS become an approved CASP Under MiCA, the European Union’s bespoke crypto rules, a company must have a registered office in an EU member state where it carries out part of its business and have a resident director.
Many crypto companies like crypto exchange Coinbase have obtained a license in Ireland. In October, Coinbase said that he wanted Ireland to be his EU hub as it has a favorable environment for fintech companies.
Crypto exchange Kraken also got a electronic money establishment license in Ireland in September, and Zodia Market, supported by a standard charter, won registration in Ireland in October.
